My name is Ilona Stevanne Termaat and I am the current President of Academics for Development Utrecht (Executive Board). I studied both law and literature sciences at Utrecht University, where I am currently enrolled in the Master’s programme of Private Law with a minor in Company Law. Alongside studying for my Master’s degree I work part-time at a law firm.

Academics for Development has only been around in Utrecht for a few years and I am excited that we have room to experiment and grow as an organization. For me personally, I want to add to the process of making Academics for Development a more structured organization where there is room to focus on organizing great events and projects. As President I will be working closely together with all other board and committee members and project students. I am looking forward to be working together with people who are just as excited about social entrepreneurship as I am.
