Hi, my name is Marieke and I am enrolled in the master Sustainable Development, specifically the track Environmental Change and Ecosystems, at Utrecht University. I was a project student for the AFD Utrecht project in India in academic year ‘17/’18. This year I decided to proceed with AFD as a Project Development board member, because I really stand by the values and aims of Academics for Development. This year I will focus on recruiting and developing projects for the academic year ‘19/’20. I am really excited to meet social entrepreneurs, share ideas and develop plans on how students can have social impact too and can contribute to a more sustainable future.
