ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Project students are expected to work from Belgium (Oct- June) on the project in collaboration with both partners. During this period, necessary information will be gathered, research will be conducted and reports will be set up. During the preparation phase, the project team is expected to work several hours on a weekly basis. The preparation phase is followed by the implementation period. In July and August, the students travel to the local partner in Niancourap, Senegal to implement and finalize their project on-site.

About the project Partner

Ondernemers voor ondernemers, OVO for short, partnered for this project with the company Faeda. This company has ecological farms where they breed poultry and grow vegetables for the outskirts of Dakar, located in Senegal. Founded by Ababacar Samb in 2017, Faeda company tries to raise awareness for sustainable food and provide training for young adults. The farm started with breeding biological broilers of which the recovered waste is used for growing vegetables in a more sustainable way.

Who are we looking for?

Project students are expected to have a good knowledge of French. As a background, agroeconomics is of great value. On top, people that have knowledge of web development are also appreciated.
