The JN Foundation was established in 1990 as the charitable arm of the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS). Their duty is to manage and execute the philanthropic efforts of the Jamaican Society, and contribute to the developmental needs of Jamaica. By providing financial and technical support to projects and programmes both at the local communities and at the national level, JN Foundation is an important asset in the Jamaican society.
About the project
The Resolution Project has the goal to encourage leadership among youngsters through non-violent activism and by facilitating the use of photography to tell intriguing stories of places and people in Jamaica. JN Foundation had the wish that the Resolution Project changed into a self-sustaining brand or social enterprise. The project students re-conceptualized the Resolution Project by drafting a business model and a financial plan. Afterwards the students launched the proposed solution and tested it for further expansion.
