Okwagaanana, Uganda

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The project focuses on ameliorating the financial self-sustainability of the primary and secondary school. The students will set up a financial plan and look for extra sources of income (e.g. by selling crops which are grown at the school). The main focus of the project is to investigate and install a sustainable alternative for the firewood cooking used nowadays in the school’s kitchen, which is their largest expense. Besides this, a few workshops will be organised for teachers and students about financial independence and the consequences of large-scale tree felling.
