ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The primary health care system in India is dependent on external donations and sponsors, which are not reliable sources. The aim of this project is to set up a financially viable project in order to support the primary health care system. The local partners believe there is a strong demand for venues for weddings, birth parties, farewell parties, seminars. For this reason, the students will help in the construction and operation of an event hall.

About the project partner

Partners zonder grenzen is committed to the development of qualitative basic health care, medical prevention, education and basic training in West Bengal in collaboration with SSDC (Sundarban Social Development Centre). Partners zonder grenzen does not have its own projects, but explicitly opts for a partnership with the South so that their projects can be realised. Actual projects in the Sundarban of West Bengal: eye hospital, clinic boat, open patient department for dermatology, girl child protection, book bank, rehabilitation of poor families in Sundarban area. PAZ gives these partnerships concrete form by providing financial and logistical support, advice, consultancy and exchange programmes. SSDC has accomplished plenty of positive change in the Sundarban Region and has successfully managed numerous projects.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for 4/5 excellent and highly motivated students, with knowledge of english. Cultural flexibility and respect for other cultures are a must. Students of all academic backgrounds are allowed to apply. However, for this project we are especially looking for students with backgrounds or special interest in:

Economy / Business / Entrepeneurship

Engineering
