ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The project seeks to address the challenges faced by Wara, such as lack of business knowledge, access to a broader network, and financial resources. The proposed project includes preparing an export plan for Wara to sell a product in an international market, as the market in Peru is already very mature for a large part of the product range. The project also aims at improving and delivering training sessions on Wara’s business strategy, operations, and production process.
Assisting Wara by developing an export plan for international market expansion and providing training sessions to enhance their business strategy, operations and production process.

About the project partner
Wara is a social enterprise located in Madre de Dios, Peru, a region in the Amazonian forest. Wara works together with local farmers and suppliers to produce healthy and quality products based on Amazonian nuts and fruits as an alternative to the destructive and often illegal gold mining industry. The main goal is to economically develop the region and reduce extractive activities related to mining, like deforestation, but also issues like human trafficking.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for 5 highly motivated students, preferably at least 1-2 with a sufficient level of Spanish. Cultural flexibility and respect for other cultures are a must.
